Ministry
We invite all our women to join together at the Baptist Beach House to relax and enjoy teaching, entertainment, great food, quiet time on the beach, and whatever else the Lord has for us - all for just $30 per person. Those unable to spend the night can still join in on the fun, so we invite you to register as well. Registration forms are available at the Information Desk or church office. Space is limited, so to guarantee your reservation, you will need to include your $30 payment with your form and drop them together in the white Drop Box at the Info Desk, or at the church office. (Registration cost will be $40/person after August 29th.) See directions to the beach house below.
What to Bring:
1 Snack and 1 sweet dessert to share
1 Liter drink or case of bottled water to share ( we will provide iced tea during the meals)
Linens for single bed (sleeping bag works well) / blanket / pillow
Towels and wash cloth
Toiletries
Bible/pen
Ear plugs (recommended if you are a light sleeper)
Beach Chair (one that folds and can easily be placed out of the way)
Fun games for groups

DIRECTIONS:
Take Folly Road till it ends at Folly Beach. Turn right at the first light unto West Ashley Avenue (towards the County Park). Go 1.4 miles. See large house on the left surrounded by chain link fence. Enter into the fenced area for parking. Access to the facility is up the stairs.
Womens Bible Studies
Come join us Wednesday mornings at at 9 a.m. or Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the Prayer Room (one-story building right behind Arby's off of Folly Road). For more information, contact the church office at 795-9449, ext. 101.

Scarves and Cards What a privilege it was for Sharon Craven and Karen Robertson to deliver the 130+ hand-made scarves, hats, and Christmas cards from those of you who participated in this outreach ministry to the homeless in 2009. Crisis Ministry placed these items in the Christmas bags they prepared for the homeless that attended their Christmas dinner last year. Crisis Ministry has asked us to continue this ministry throughout this year in order to again provide the homeless with these hand-made items next Christmas season. So....take a well deserved break and get back into the swing this year -encouraging others, including children, to get involved. Cut off will be Sunday, December 5, 2010 (Please continue to drop off all items at the JICC Information Desk). |
Sewing Ministry
All women are invited to join together on the last Monday of each month at 6:30pm in Dority Hall, to put together baby blankets and quilts for “Newborns in Need,” and work on other sewing projects. Please bring scissors, sewing machines, thread, any cutting boards, cutting wheels, etc. Contact Chris Bowman at 795-7628 or 324-2634 for more information.
